Investigating the mechanisms and drivers of land use and land cover changes (LUCC) in northeastern Brazil- (Eráclito Rodrigues de Sousa Neto, Dr.)
Post-doctoral fellow at the Earth System Science Center (CCST – INPE), in São José dos Campos. He has been investigating the mechanisms and drivers of land use and land cover changes (LUCC) in northeastern Brazil. His research is multi-faceted and focuses on estimating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from Caatinga soils and studying the impacts of LUCC on vegetation, policies and local people. This post doc research will provide subsidies for the development of a functioning emissions estimation system for the Caatinga (INPE-EM / BRCaatinga), as we have today for Amazon.
