INPE-EM LUCC

INPE-EM LUCC is an independent module in INPE-EM that calculates 1st order emissions resulting from different land use changes. In this way the model will calculate greenhouse gas emission/absorption given two land use maps in the desired time interval and the biomass map to be used as the base. Although this module should contribute to the calculation of the estimates presented in the National GHG Inventory on land use transitions due to changes in use, it has been designed so that it can be parameterized for different use transitions according to the needs of the user.
In order to determine the transition between simulation years, INPE-EM LUCC deals with discrete models, that is, a cell can only contain a type of use.
