A model of deforestation emission by greenhouse gases in the Brazilian Cerrado (Cerrado BR) – (Alan de Brito, Dr.)

PhD student in Earth System Science, INPE. Advisors: Ana Paula Aguiar and Gilvan Sampaio. The thesis (in progress) is to develop a model of deforestation emission by greenhouse gases in the Cerrado (Cerrado BR), Brazil, using the INPE-Emission Model framework. The construction of spatially explicit model aims to represent the environmental and socioeconomic heterogeneity found in different regions of the biome. This thesis will provide subsidies for the development of a functioning emissions estimation system for the Cerrado (INPE-EM / BRCerrado), as we have today to Amazon.
